DIY Candle Centerpiece

DIY CANDLE CENTERPIECE

Creating a gorgeous candle centerpiece for your next event is as easy as 1, 2, 3! If you’re looking to change things up and add a natural element for your next event, we’ll show you how we used one of our new ceramic planters,B361ZW, as part of our candle arrangement.

Here is what you’ll need to re-create this design.

MATERIALS

1.       A large ceramic planter  (The B361ZW is 4”H x 10.6”L x 10.2”W) and Sand (we’re using our natural colored sand but you can use any color you want)

2.       Three clear hurricanes in various sizes, silver painted branches & three white pillar candles, also in various sizes (you can also use any color candles to your preference)

CREATING THE ARRANGEMENT

1.       Take your ceramic planter and make sure it is cleared of any dirt and dust and that there are no cracks on any of the edges.

2.       Pour sand you have chosen to use into the planter. Spread it across evenly to avoid bumps and gradually add more sand as needed.

3.       Place the three candles into a corner of the planter. We put the tallest candle in the back and the two smaller candles on either side. After placing the candles in the arrangement, light the candles and place the hurricanes on top of the candles (hurricanes should leave a minimum of an inch from the opening so that the flame is protected).

4.       (Optional) You can add a design in the empty space in front of the candles. Use one of the branches as a way to create the design you wish to achieve in the sand. Alternatively you can also add flowers, rocks or shells to the space as well.

5.       Once your design is neatly set, it’s time to add the branches. Group a small bunch behind the tallest hurricane (DO NOT PUT BRANCHES INSIDE THE HURRICANES WITH BURNING CANDLES AS IT COULD CAUSE A FIRE!) and evenly spread out smaller branches in a descending order.

6.       From here your arrangement is complete and ready to be used for your event. You can mix and match your ceramic with other like styles. However you choose to use this arrangement, you can take pride in the feeling of knowing you created this beautiful design. It is sure to be the talk of the night.
