Get to know the A.F.E

At Vasesource, we love seeing our customers thrive in their element and helping them with their career advancements. Whether it's a great turn out for an event or a raving review on a floral arrangement, we succeed when our customers succeed. This week, we want to tell you about an organization that can contribute to your continuing business achievements.

Established in 1961, The American Floral Endowment (A.F.E) has a dedicated desire to inform and educate individuals who have a passion for working in floriculture and horticulture. This non-profit organization benefits growers, wholesalers, retailers and allies in the floral industry, regardless of experience.

The A.F.E provides educational business opportunities for individuals looking to expand their knowledge of the ins and outs of the floral industry. While providing these programs, they also offer students who are looking to pursue an education and career in horticulture the chance to apply for scholarships, grants and industry related internships.

While a part of the donated funds go to their scholarships programming, another part goes to their research team. Their research supports finding solutions to scientific problems facing the floral industry. This includes stopping the spread of diseases and pests that can harm flowers and plants. They also help growers learn about new technologies in development to assist in the care and handling of plants.

Everyone benefits from a strong floral industry and the A.F.E is here to support and protect them. They will be there for you too as your business continues to grow. To learn more about the American Floral Endowment, you can visit their website at: https://endowment.org/

Vasesource has its roots in New York City, where it was founded in 1998 by Itzik Yakobi, a man with grand designs on the floral industry. Our aim is to provide an exceptional range of products with personalized customer service. In 2014 Vasesource acquired YBS Imports, a move that gave wholesale florists access to our unique designs. Today we supply floral studios, event planners, hotels and online stores along the East Coast, across the nation, and around the world.
