Have you ever looked at a vase or bowl design and thought “that would look even better if it was a candle”. With sand wax, you can transform any piece into a beautifully lit candle. This revolutionary way of candle making will expand your creativity and breathe new life into your next creation.
Granulated sand wax is unique, versatile, reusable and travel friendly. It can transform any favorite piece into a beautifully lit candle by pouring the granulated sand in, leveling it out, placing a wick in the center (sold separately), light it and voila! Once the wick has cooled down after putting it out, simply pick up the wick with the wax that has hardened, toss away, and place a fresh new wick to the sand wax and you’re back to new!
Candles have been used throughout history for thousands of years for similar purposes used today:
1. Light: Candles were primarily used as a source of light before the invention of electric lighting. They provided a portable and reliable light source that allowed people to navigate and work in dark environments.
2. Ceremonies: Candles have played a significant role in religious and spiritual practices across different cultures and religions. They are often lit during prayers, rituals, and ceremonies as a symbol of devotion, enlightenment, or connection with the divine.
3. Decorative purposes: Candles have been used for decorative purposes, adding warmth, ambiance, and a cozy atmosphere to homes, events, and special occasions. They come in various shapes, sizes, and scents, allowing for customization and aesthetic enhancement.
4. Timekeeping: In the past, candles were also used to measure time. By marking the candle's length or burning time, people could estimate the passing of hours or intervals.
5. Symbolism: Candles have been associated with symbolism, representing concepts like hope, purity, remembrance, and celebration. They are often used to mark important milestones, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and memorial services.
While candles have been largely replaced by electric lighting for practical purposes, they still hold cultural, religious, and decorative significance in many contexts.
