Our Time At The A.I.F.D Symposium 2018

Last week we attended the A.I.F.D Symposium in Washington D.C. Our sales manager, Daniel McClelland, and sales representative, Diego Plaza, traveled from our New Jersey location to the symposium. There were beautiful creations around every corner of the event.

Renee Tucci, a member of the Board of Directors for the North East Chapter of the A.I.F.D, along with other board members, Darcie Garcia and Shannon Total, were asked to creat this year’s Trend Lounge for the symposium. “It's always wonderful to get together with good friends,” said Tucci, “Our board and our region are truly tight nit. We discuss business and make decisions to help support the mission of AIFD. I'm really proud to be included on this board and in the discussions.”

The Trend Lounge is about creating new trends and styles for the upcoming season for weddings, holiday gatherings and giftware. “We found inspiration for future looks in the Vasesource containers,” said Tucci. “Our favorites are the geometric vases; their fun and funky shape leads them to all occasions from elegant to casual. We like that they were matte, as we think the trend will be moving away from shiny/lacquer soon.”

Along with the black matte GEOs, Tucci also used the HAILSV and the BRIM collection.

When asked about what inspirations Tucci draws from when creating an arrangement, she had this to say: “The inspiration really comes from the assignment or project itself. The bride and groom that got engaged in Paris, the birthday girl who has seen a lot in her 80 years, the patient who needs some cheer until they can get back on the golf course, all of these things drip into our subconscious as we are pulling together our designs. Pair that with the most current design techniques that we are constantly educating ourselves on, and you've got a recipe for flower magic!”

We loved the arrangement that Tucci and her team had created for the Trend Lounge.
